When Dallin’s sister Danielle texted the family a few months back inviting us to her nursing school graduation in Michigan, Dallin and I decided why not! As Danielle put it, “I didn’t realize I was putting together a family reunion!” On one side, the entire Samuelson family plus Nana Samuelson and basically-sister Jerrae came; on the other side both Urness parents and Grandma Woods came. In addition, Danielle had friends from Arizona show up. On the day of the graduation, we all watched her officially become a nurse, and then we celebrated together at a nice restaurant.
Dallin and I stayed with the Samuelsons at an AirBnB equipped with a downstairs game room. Our little nephew Maverick loved the air hockey table and begged everyone to play with him. One of the days, we took a trip to the Germanesque town Frankenmuth, where we walked around a massive Christmas store, ate lunch at a restaurant that felt like we’d stepped back at least a century, and bought cherry salsa at a downtown store where we took refuge from the cold.
It was so fun to have the three little cousins/grandkids together in one place! We’re so proud of Danielle and glad that she got the fam together in Michigan.
