This all happened five minutes ago:
We are at the table eating lunch. Everybody has left the table except me and three-year-old Sophie. She keeps telling me she wants orange juice, but I had given her milk just a few minutes earlier and didn't feel like getting her orange juice. I also told her that Mom would be making "cookies" and "a yummy dessert with marshmallows, chocolate, and peanut butter" (the amazing Rocky Road Peatnut Butter Bars) in hope of her thinking that she doesn't really need the juice. She still kept whining for it.
"I want orange juice!"
"Maybe later."
"But I want orange juice!"
"Later."
"Later?"
"Yeah."
"What color is it?"
"What color is it?"
"What color is it?"
"What color it?"
"What color is it?"
"Orange."
"Orange?"
"M-hm. Yellow plus red. Orange."
"Purple?"
"Grape juice is purple."
"I want PURPLE juice! Strawberries juice is purple.
Strawberries.

Strawberries.
Strawberry juice sounds like good."



SO THEN.... I come to my room to type up this silly conversation, and suddenly.......

"ROAAAAAAAR! ROAAAAR!!! ROOAAARRRR!!!"

I have got this warm, fuzzy feeling in my heart. Ahhh.... satisfaction. Before about, I dunno, nine or ten thirty last night, I was in Alma: Chapter 30. It is Sunday, then since then I have read all the thirty-three other chapters in Alma and all the sixteen chapters in Helaman. I seriously spent an hour reading last night and basically the whole morning locked up in my room reading. I did it for Bro. Powell's class. He told us we had to be that far.
And then, of course, I was the only one to do it. (Not including the two boys that already finished.)
But I don't regret it. This has been the most perfect day.

Yes, we went to VEGAS! It was SOOO awesome (except for those pictures everywhere that made want to strangle someone and all the smoking and gambling that made me gag)!!! Above, you can tell we are obsessed with Greek mythology.

This morning for breakfast we had

WHITE BREAD with CINNAMON-SUGAR/ERIC'S LUNCH (see one of my posts from like a year ago to explain that insided joke) put in the oven to toast to the perfect CRUNCH

CUTIES to make it a bit healthier

Probably that junky-ingredient strawberry YOGURT in teensy little containers with MAPLE PECAN GRANOLA

and finally

HOMEMADE HOT CHOCOLATE with HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM.

It's fun to go wild every once in a while.

Here are some pictures... not too many.... But they are actually a month old now, so they are bigger, their eyes fully open, playful, etc. Yesterday they had their own Thanksgiving feast of goat's milk, pumpkin, chicken, and rice blended together. Yes, they are able to eat food other than Mommy's milk (though they still do drink that). My camera (that I just bought on my own this spring!) is acting up (I am SO mad!) so that's why I don't have more. I'll tryto get some ASAP.





This is the difference between them. Mouse is teeny!

So just three or so minutes ago Adam comes up and says, "Today is supposed to be really spooky because it's Friday the Fifteenth."

Yeah, I just though it was really funny. When I laughed he then corrected himself , but I still couldn't help writing it down.

One week ago Thursday, our dog, Diva, had puppies.
There were three puppies. Emergency C-Section. The first was born dead.....


And they revived him!!!! He was 18 ounces, the biggest puppy we have ever had at this house.

And he was just green for his first day.


Then there was a girl. And guess what? She was 20 ounces! Huge!!!!


Then came the last one. She was....

tiny.


The vet told us not to count on her. She could very easily die. She was premature. She didn't look totally pre-me or anything, like she was totally formed and stuff, had sharp nails and fur (though her face was sort of pink because the fur was so thin...). She was just teeny! So my parents built an oxygen tank and she used it for the first couple of days. It looks like she's gonna make it!!!

So now they have grown a bit, their pigment become blacker, their eyes open a teeny bit in the corners (boy, it must suck to be blind and deaf), etc. The first two right now are pigs!!! I guess I can't really call "Mouse" that, though.

They are all total CUTIES!!!



Okay sorry..... I still need to put those pics up..... now here is more I'll need to....

I am sick right now..... slight dizziness, scratchy throat with a cough, all that. Almost my whole family has it. Oh well. At least I caught it the very night we came home. The guys had it nearly the whole vacation! I am just hoping I won't miss school (not that I enjoy it that much, but I definately don't enjoy make-up work!!!).

Today is the last day of fall break (if I don't stay sick tomorrow, because nearly my whole family is now.....). It is too bad!
But at least it was AWESOME!!!!

It was so fun!!!

I know I have written two posts today already, but I just feel like writing....

Yesterday and today was, I think, the 179 General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It's kind of funny.... My dad disconnected the cable from our TV downstairs in the family room ages ago (and we didn't even realize it for at least two months before my mom told us), so we had to watch it in my parents room.... So yeah we all sat either on the floor our squeezed in bed as we watched it. I realize that it's kind of tough to listen while Sophie and Eric are playing and being noisy and then Adam ironically half-yelling at them to be quiet so we could listen.... so I don't know exactly how much of it I was able to listen to..... but yeah....
We have some really strong, amazing people in our church. The parts that I did get to hear were absolutely magnificent. They have such strong testimonies and loving hearts. I love hearing the prophet.
It's kinda weird that we're basically seeing a modern-day Joseph Smith... Nephi.... Moses..... I saw President Monson at a rodeo!!!! :)
I can't wait for Girl's Camp to swing around again. We could just feel the Spirit in the air, so strong and peaceful. I gained a true testimony up there at Camp Lomia. It was strange to come home. Not that home isn't spiritual... it totally is.... but Girls Camp really has that feel. It was magnificent on Bishop night/testimony meeting night because, even after a long time of trying to convince myself, I really got up there and poured my heart out. I am sad to say that I actually didn't cry, unlike a majority or the girls.... I had been totally crying earlier, but I guess I literally had cried myself DRY by the time I got up. And it was FREEZING COLD!!!! But, despite that, it was so peaceful sitting there listening, a stream trickling right at the edge of the hill we were on. And that was when I decided to write in my journal and read my scriptures every night, when I truly felt one of those SPIRIT moments, in a forest with my BOM in my lap.
Being inside the temple is wonderful as well! I just imagine everybody on the other side I help every time I wait to get dunked in the baptism water.
I think of all people have sacrificed. How amazing it is that so many people traveled so long in wagons less than two centuries ago. Mormons are just awesome. I am so glad to be a part of this church!

So now that I have talked about my bday and the wedding... lets talk spooky.

SIX MORE DAYS TILL I AM A TEENAGER!!!!!

I have been waiting for Saturday, October 10th, 2009 for forever!!! And now to add to that awesome excitement, my cousin Becca is geeting married in Salt Lake City.... on the same day! So around lunchtime on Thursday, my parents are going to pull us all out of school and then we will drive to Utah. I am so excited!!! I just wonder how it's going to work out....

Okay so like five mintues ago my mom asked me to get an onion from the outside fridge. The garadge was open because Adam and my parents had just gotten home from flag football. Walkin' on Sunshine was stuck in my head, so while I was searching through the fridge, I was singing that. Suddenly I hear someone say, "Helllllooo!" The voice, I think, had been calling me and had kept singing, not even hearing!!!! I whipped around, and it was this teenage sales person, peaking into our garage!!!! She asked for my parents, and I quickly went inside. I was so embarrassed, I wanted to scream!!!

I don't care how cool you think you are. I don't care if you got an A on your test, if you are on the cheerleading squad or basketball team, I don't care if you rescued the president from evil aliens!!!!- YOU ARE A BIG FAT LOOSER IF YOU CUSS!!!!!
Words are everything. Being a Mormon, bad words are fire that burn through you with pain and agony.
So as long as you don't cuss....

Today at church, during the second hour, Bro. Walker (it's weird, our new Bishopbrick is Bishop Walker, Bro. Brady, and Bro. Walker) came in and asked me to come with him for a minute to speak with him. So he took me to an empty room and then he told me that I had been called as the Beehives' Secretary. So during thrid hour, my parents and him came in and he and my dad set me apart. Hopefully I will do good!!!

Okay, so I guess I will finally say about my vacations...


This was my cabin. It was sort of messy when I took the picture, sorry. All the first/second years in my ward/ some leaders stayed here.

Then we got to see this beautiful waterfall. I have to say, it was heck trrying to drive up this treacherous road up the moutain in a huge car with eight people in the dark!!!! But the waterfall's still pretty.
Then we went back to Telluride and did the Gondula again. It was fully dark, and it was so amazing. The only light was the city below us, like a river of light snuggled tightly between the mountains in the valley. While we were still inside and up in the air, we said our family prayer. It was amazing.
AN then on the way home... well, craziness. It was Free National Park Day, so my parents bought a tent and then when we letf Telluride, we looked everywhere for a place to camp. We took a map, and found this one palce. Except nobody was there. We wasted seriously an hour looking for the place the map was talking about, and while we were there we saw seriously saw ten broken-down shacks and trees that bent their limbs down as if they were trying to trap you!It was like a horror movie!!!! And the road was tiny with huge bumps and rocks and potholes! Everyone was asleep except for my parents, me, Rachel, and part of the time Sophie. Finally we turned around, taking a whole bunch more time looking for another place. Then we couldn't find anywhere, so at midnight my dad decided to stop in a parking lot. Everyone else stayed in the car, but he pulled out the canvas floor of the tent and tried to sleep there. But after ten or so minutes, he changed his mind and went driving some more, giving up the camping idea to find a hotel. We finally got into a small city. There were a ton of hotels/motels, though they were like all full. At like one or two am, we finally found one. Everyone got out of the car and slept there. (Adam, Livy, and Eric were so groggy, it was hilarioud. Especially cause Adam shouted something like "Tree!" or something in his sleep....) It was a wild, not fun experience. But something to laugh at now.
It was an awesome summer.
