I absolutely positively love these girls. For Haley's sweet sixteen we snuck off to Scottsdale for a night in a fancy hotel eating fancy cake and feeling like fancy ladies. Sadly I had to go up several hours later because of rehearsal, so I missed swimming, but I still felt special when they sent me SnapChats and told me to get up fast.
~Note: Tragically, my computer is being dumb and won't let me edit the first two phone photos sent to me. Thus they may not look of utmost fancy-shmanciness, but they are fun-revealing, memory-bringing pictures nonetheless.~
We know how to entertain each other. Even if all we're doing for a while is watching Harry Potter cause crazy Miss Karisa has never seen it, we have a blast. Then of course the sun falls asleep and any drooping lids of ours fly open.
Pretty up we stayed up past 2:30 being loud, stealing each other's places on the beds or having our own beds taken and lying on top of the splayed-out thieves in a way that they feel so uncomfortable they just give up the fight, watching funny videos on YouTube, sending obnoxiously long voicemail messages to underclassmen who claim to be available to pick up the phone all hours of the night and then don't answer, eating grapes and popcorn, testing each other's true laughs, being freaked out by the prankster girls who stare out at the rest of us creepily from the bathroom blinds, looking like geeks with our glasses and PJs {especially because one arm of my glasses snapped off and so I had to wear it with just one, totally unbalanced}, finding out that certain guys like certain girls, even discussing Ayn Rand's philosophies.
We most definitely slept in. I just love those magical certains that obliterate all forms of light so you can pretend it's still nighttime even in the morning. Once we finally managed to drift off, we slept like babies.
Once we finally got up and ready, we ate a quick breakfast chilling out in the sunlight of the balcony and then headed out for shopping. Shopping centers in rich cities like Scottsdale never fail to amaze and mock me with how tragically adorbable expensive things can be. But it's still fun to look around, find those cute $3 earrings with the cuffs that make you feel like you're actually cool, and join in with Linds to be that rebel who lies down for a potential nap on the cushions in the mens section of the Nike's athletics store.
I felt fat by the time I got home. Does that sum it up?
But seriously, I had such a blast and I can't wait to party some more with these wonderfully fantastical girlies.
