I had it all planned out. Every bit of summer was to go as perfect as I ever dreamed.
Of course, at the bottom of that post I wrote that I didn't know if it would happen. It didn't. How does that always happen, setting goals and never reaching them? They say that if you write them down, they become real. Not to say this summer was bad... it was certainly enjoyable and a great rest from school.
Some the things I wanted to do became pointless, and it wasn't my fault. I couldn't go running everyday because even at six or seven it's just too stinkin' hot. I couldn't email everybody a prompt every two weeks because only one person responded.
This morning at seven our family went with another and cleaned the church. That brought us to reality. We have gotten to kick back a little bit too much. I mean, we have worked, but we need to get better.
I have never been more anxious and excited for school to end than I was in seventh grade. I was so sick of projects and exams, I wanted summer to by slow and steady. Funny enough, I have never been more excited to get back to school as I am now! Perhaps it is because I just want to have a schedule to keep me motivated. Then I can accomplish more than when I have no schedule.
Only four more days.
