For the past couple of months now, I have been totally obsessed with Greek mythology... mostly after I started the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan.
These are the first three.

Okay, I said The Last Olympian is the last, even though there's this one. This is more of a side-for-fun book. There are mini stories and also info about the characters in the characters' own points of view. I might be wrong, though, cause I've never really read it. I went to the library in hopes to get it, but there were only two copies in the whole district, both out, and eleven holds.
I would say who all of these characters are, but I don't want to spoil anything. I'll just say that the guy in the top-middle picture with the orange Camp Half-Blood shirt and celestrial bronze sword in Pery Jackson, who tells the story. These are only a few of the MANY characters throughout the series.
Let me just give you an idea of the series. The first book is about a troubled twelve-year-old named Percy Jackson who finds out that Greek mythology is real and still goes on and that his dad is one of the Greek gods. The rest of the series goes on because of one little problem that starts at the very end of The Lightning Thief.
For Halloween (even though that was before I read those books) I was Artemis (Mom's idea, but I so-o-o thank her. ). Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, childbirth, the moon, the wild things, etc., and is the twin to the sun (etc.) god Apollo and daughter of Zeus and Leta (?????). I think since Hera was angry at Zeus (her HUSBAND) for having kids with Leta (?????), she banned Leta from the country, so as soon as Artemis was BORN, she helped her mother cross the channel and give birth to Apollo. And.... Artemis wanted to be free (without boys) and so she was "a maiden forever." Oh! Also she had the Hunters.
This is a REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY bad picture!! Like this photographer just came up to me at the party and, like, quickly took pics, even though I wasn't really ready.
Some important Aretmis stuff....
Okay, here is a picture of the Parthenon. It is an old temple to the goddess Athena in Athens, Greece and still stands today. See those columns? Those are an example to a very famous Greek style. Now every time I see columns like that (and other Greek stuff), I get all excited and stuff cause it's Greek. I probably annoy people like that, but it's just, like, so-o-o AWESOME!
Also, my name is Katherine. Guess what? It means pure in Greek!
