We've officially gotten into the full swing of summer. Provo has blossomed, its mountains richly green and the air sweet with pollen. Now that Katie A has moved into the same apartment building with us, she, Rachel and I spend many an afternoon taking walks or otherwise splaying outside in the sunshine. They both attend school, but I am working as a research assistant on campus. Essentially, my job is to locate primary sources on European historical events online, and then develop a code with their link in the EuroDocs database. I guess you could say I am building an online library of sorts? The best part is being able to utilize both my German and my limited Spanish reading skills!
On Friday, I dazzled myself up and joined Dallin at a hip Native American restaurant. Afterwards we piled blankets in the back of the truck for another round of stargazing in the canyon. Whilst last time it was cloudy, this time the stars were obscured by the bright aura of the moon. But who even cares anyway-- after all, wasn't I there to be with my cuddle buddy?
The next night, we joined some kids in his ward for a night hike back to the hot springs by Spanish Fork. We found a series of pools beside a gushing waterfall and located just the right spot where the seemingly searing hot water seeping from the rocks was balanced out by icy spray of the falling stream.
