I've yet to decide if I'm a free spirit or just a fool. It started pouring, and while everyone else hid under the pavilion to avoid getting soaked, I exited the building free of coat or umbrella and practically waded my way to the cafeteria, where I was first in line. I love the rain and so I was absolutely thrilled to pretty much take a shower on my way to class, not even bothering to duck under covered areas while I walked. But being saturated is all fun and games until you have to spend the next hour in just about your only properly air-conditioned classroom.
You'd think I would learn. Nope. The next week the sun was so intense while I was walking around that I got a burn with a resulting tan line from the tank top I was wearing. I returned to my dorm, desperate to sit in front of my fan and change into a swimsuit, when suddenly I could hear the rain pattering wildly outside. It had come out of nowhere! I immediately ran out in excitement and melted the heat away as I was doused in storm. Apparently I was a little too excited, because I was probably standing their drinking it up for about five minutes before I realized that I had let my door slam shut behind me-- and all I had was my swimsuit. No dress, no shoes, no phone, and no key, and no roommates to help me get back inside.
