La Sagrada Familia
A word for this last one-- this cathedral left me silent with awe and peace.  Gaudi dedicated forty years {until his death} mapping out and constructing this church for the Sacred Family, knowing that "God has all the time in the world" for a beautiful place of worship.  Although it has been in the works for 133 years now and still many years ahead, it will be {and already is} an absolutely incredible place.

Upon completion, there will be 18 spires for each Apostle, Evangelist,  the Virgin and Jesus.

The exterior is carved with intricate depictions of Christ's life.

The inside is dim because Gaudi designed it in the 1800's with the intention of relying solely on natural light.
