Where to begin? First things first, I ADORE Dallin's family and I was definitely sad to lose them when I thought we were broken up for good. Even though Dallin and I are just BF-GF, Bri has joked about me practically being her sister-in-law for over a year now. Three weeks ago, ignoring our silence on our relationship status, Dallin's mama Jordie flat-out told him to invite me when their family flew in town for just one day to take family pictures at Temple Square. So I skipped anatomy and took the train with Dal to SLC. Once other family members established that they were "allowed to talk to" me now, then everything was back to normal. Haha. While everyone decked themselves out in the hotel room, I chatted with Brooke about BYU-Hawaii, and then we wandered around the church sites including the beautiful Christus statue. After pictures, we got dinner and then headed over to Danielle and Matt's cute and cozy apartment, where 18year+ people suddenly became kids again and started throwing things across the family room while trying not to hit the baby or the candle.
The next week, I chatted with Jordie for twenty minutes on the phone, and she invited me to spend their family Thanksgiving on Black Friday with them, even though Dallin would be in Chile and even Danielle would be in Utah. I hadn't seen some of their relatives since last Thanksgiving, so it was fun to visit with them again in addition to meeting new people! Everyone brought their dogs, because their home is and will always be a perfect animal haven. I got seated at the grown-up table next to Jordie; she and I ended up talking for another long while-- oh how I love her! About Me
