Beckham - 5 Months

Master of the wobble lip
 Beckham at 5 months was even more fun than 4 months! He went through a phase for a few days of babbling when crying/whining, and it honestly so cute. He would cry, "Mamawawababa!" with a huge wobbly lip. I was rather sad when he stopped doing this.
Some other 5-month behaviors:
  • Trying to eat toes
  • Giggling during peekaboo 
  • Splashing in the bath 
  • Trying to do sit-ups — just sits in a crunch for a long time 
  • Assisted walking where we hold him under the armpits and he excitedly marches forward, especially towards the cats 
  • Putting his hand in my mouth when eating or when I'm rocking him to sleep
  • Putting EVERYTHING in his mouth 
  • Showing interest everything when we go on walks, especially cars
  • Exploring his own face, such as sucking in his lip or sticking out his tongue
We introduced purees including peas (which he gagged at/threw up the second time I gave it to him) and carrots (which he liked quite a bit more). When trying new foods, he would make faces and then throw his arms out, open his mouth and "hoo-hoo-hoo" like a monkey for more.

Atticus "babysitting" Beckham while I clean the room. Atticus is happy to look out the window and Beckham is happy to look at Atticus.

Finally finished the nursery.
