Close to Homer, the coastal road wound down through mist-enshrouded mountains before dead-ending on the peninsula. The land jutted out into the sea, tsunami evacuation route signs dotting the way back along the spit.  We spent the whole day exploring beach shops, enjoying seafood, and scouting for otters. Beckham's favorite part of the day was the giant bubbles. Rachel's least favorite part of the day was eating half a burger before realizing it was infested with live aphids from the lettuce.
