This July 4th, we started the day bright and early with sourdough waffles and the Provo parade -- right from our front window. After squeezing in a few hours of work, we walked to lunch with our former roommates Sadie and Nellie, and then Rachel and I went on a hot hike up part of Slate Canyon. Dallin's grandparents took everyone out to dinner before we walked over to the Stadium of Fire.
What. An amazing. Show. Rachelle decked us all out with patriotic glow sunglasses. For the space of the next few hours, we never ceased to be entertained by military craft, skydivers, stunt bicyclists and pogo-stickers, singers, dancers, and of course, One Republic. The lead singer kept teasing the city of Provo for the never-ending explosions of fireworks. It was amazing.
