Whenever we go to parties, my mom brings some of her grandma's salsa. Not gonna lie, it's super good, has a nice kick, and I was pretty excited to learn the recipe.
Pretty much just dump in the food processor & blend:
- 2 cans of Rotel diced tomatoes with green onion & lime
- 1/2 sweet onion {miracle! doesn't burn eyes!}
- 1 tbs minced garlic
- handful fresh cilantro {test so as not to add too much/little}
Wow! How easy. I know it sounds weird to be using canned tomatoes, but you actually can't even tell. Personally, my favorite tortilla chips are Nana's. It doesn't really matter though, and of course you can use it for guacamole, buritos, eggs, etc. But seriously. Enjoy.
