Today is Mother's Day. It's one of those holidays where you know that you absolutely must get everything perfect, because otherwise it's just a slap in the face to years worth of absolute dedication.... to you. Seriously, I don't know how these women are capable of cooking, changing diapers, spending huge amounts of money to satisfy holiday demands, scrubbing floors, wiping away tears, settling arguments, managing time, etc, etc, etc, basically all at the same time. Beats me. But they do, and so I must thank my mommy for both this and for being:
- Comforting, cool, crazy courageous, creative
- Happy, healthy, honest, heroic, helpful, hopeful
- Energetic, extraordinary, enlightening, exquisite
- Reliable, righteous, responsible, respectable
- Intelligent, impressive, imaginative, inspiring
Really, Mom. I hope I can live up to the standards you've set to being such an outstanding influence.
