Lets be open here: We all love food, and it's summer. And especially when it's Arizona summer, you tend to crave something cool, candy, and creamy. Then you turn fat.
Or do you? I found this yummy recipe for all-natural vanilla yogurt.
So dump a cup of honey in a pan with a vanilla bean and heat for fifteen minutes {stir, and don't boil}.
After cooling the mixture for about twenty minutes, take out the bean.
Now you see, a vanilla bean is stuffed full of thousands of teeny-tiny seeds in a paste that give that delicious vanilla flavor. Slice the bean and start scraping out the seeds.
There's plenty!
Once you've extracted the seeds, stir then into the honey.
Now, you'll want to have three cups of plain yogurt. This stuff is chalk-full of protein and calcuim!
Combine it with the vanilla-honey mix.
Then pour it into the icecream maker and follow the directions to the machine.
My siblings thought the honey taste was a bit strong, so you can experiment... But I really enjoyed it!
